I'd like you all to meet Walter. He is a chocolate pointing labrador. He was born in November of 2020 and is from Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. He came from a tri-colored litter and was very shy at first. I brought him back to Denver with me after New Year's, and we have been inseparable ever since! He has been training hard for upland and waterfowl, and really loves just about anything outdoors. I'll post blogs about training with him and his milestones, and will try to share as many cute photos as possible... don't be fooled though, he is a monster. And I love him. If you join us for an event, chances are you'll meet Walter. And he is very excited to meet you!

So this chocolate chunk is coming up on 3 years old! Weighing in at 91 pounds, Walter is a my big little baby.
He still loves treats and fetch more than anything, and he gets insanely excited when the guns come out of the safe!

This year, we are making it a goal to do as much waterfowl hunting as possible. But don't worry, he will still be showcasing his signature point while chasing pheasants at Valhalla throughout the club season.

Zesty Paws
As a Chocolate Labrador, Walter's skin and coat are extra oily... it's what makes him so soft, but also creates some issues. His skin is more sensitive and needs extra help with inflammation and irritations. These Zesty Paw chews were recommended by my vet and have been game-changers! Walter no longer chews or licks his paws incessantly. He loves how they taste, and they are relatively inexpensive! They have loads of great ingredients like probiotics and fish oil!
Nature Gnaws - Elk Antlers
Young dogs need good quality chew toys. I prefer all natural choices that help with Walter's urge to chew and that keep his teeth sparkly white! These gnaws are the perfect size and Walter simply loves them!
